Thursday nights at the Legion in Waterville at 7:00pm!

Chordsmen Membership and Retention Plan
A very important plan affecting membership has been adopted by our directors this summer. Society membership is now down to less than 30,000 members. Membership items include:

1. Hold at least 2 guest nights – Sept. 8 or 15 to tie into the Society membership UCANSING2 campaign and also in November ahead of Christmas caroling.

2. Emphasize individual recruitment – every rehearsal, bring guest personally.

3. Publicize guest nights, Annual Show, new officers, Valentine Singing, etc.

4. Renew Chapter membership card as a handout (already done).

5. Order new Society material for update information to guests. Include chapter resume'and membership roster (already done).

Retention items include:

1. More song repertoire booklets available for guests to stay at Chapter.

2. Have prospects meet soon with director for singing part.

3. Assign a sponsor or member to be mentor for new member learning basics.

4. Assist with learning tapes if needed.

5. Encourage quartet or octet singing with new members.

Move Those Show Tickets!
We really lucked out! Not only did we get the Sing City as our guest quartet but also the omigosh and Inspirations from Gardner!. The show will be a bit later this year on Oct. 11th so as not to compete with the District Contest on it's usual date.

The shows are at Oakland again with $12 for the 2 p.m. matinee and $14 at 7:00 p.m. There will be $2 off for tickets sold in advance. These should be our best way to attract customers, so move those tickets! Each member will also have 2 free tickets to give away to potential members or guests. We do have extra room for both shows. Also it's important to support Leon Bisson selling ads for our program booklet to defray expenses.

Recent guests include Dan Forero, Monroe; Walter Blefcker, Palermo; and Dan Bacon (Blaine's brother), Smithfield. Visits from other choruses have included Lou Savarier, Memphis, TN, Tere Porter, Norway, and our Chapter Counselor, Matt Mercier, (Nashua Chorus).
